AWARE -Action for Women Advancement In Rural Environment

RMKM intends to improve both general life standard and vocational skills of rural women. Systematic need-based training programmes will disseminate knowledge on specific enterprises, also on basic skills that will be needed in any enterprise.

RMKM is now providing vocational trainings in handicraft work i.e. patch & applique work, leather work, embroidery, tailoring and terracota etc. to rural women. To promote and build an identity of their handmade products, a brand name has been decided as 'Mumal-the craft women' (Chachiyawas Craft Centre).

We have started with local level exhibitions, handicraft fairs & some Indian exporters to get their work a recognition.

Social Mobilization Project

Large number of women collectives has been promoted by the district administration, DWDA, ICDS, Lok Jumbish, Zila Parishad and NGOs. The project works on building upon the capacities of the already existing robust groups. RMKM is implementing the project in co-ordination with ARAVALI with support of UNDP and GoR.

Social mobilisation and NRM would be used as the main strategy. The project would ensure convergence of the Government schemes and departments to provide best of opportunities & help to women collectives.
