Pahla Kadam - Inclusion in Practice
RMKM is initializing the concept of inclusion of Mentally
Challenged children, first ever in Rajasthan and may be in India,
from its long established Special Schools - Minu Manovikas Mandir,
Ajmer; Sanjay Special School, Beawar and Research & Training
Centre, Chachiyawas. Apparently 150 Multiple disabled, MR & Normal
children are benefited under the project

- Domestic. Physiotherapy

- Vocational Training
- Counseling services to the parents of
these children
- Motor Activity.
- Language.

Education & Training Programme for Deprived Mentally Challenged
Children
Rajasthan Mahila Kalyan Mandal is in the field of training,
education & rehabilitation of mentally challenged children since
last 16 years.
The project "Education & Training Programme for Deprived Mentally
Challenged Children" is running with an emphasis to provide
training, education and rehabilitation facility to those MR
children who are left without training & education.160 Mentally
challenged children are benefited under this programme through CBR:
- Foundation Course for teachers training.
- Community Based Rehabilitation Programme
(CBR)
- Habilitation & Rehabilitation Research
Centre for the Handicapped Children.
- Vocational Training
- Health Programme
- Speech Therapy
- Physiotherapy
- Diagnosis By Psychiatrist
- Community Mobilization Programme
Identification and Counseling Camps
The organization regularly organizes identification and
counseling camps in co-ordination with the Local Level Committee,
Ajmer and concerned medical departments.
In these camps the following facilities were provided to Mentally
Challenged Children and their parents:
- Registration of Mentally Challenged
children in employment exchange.
- Preparation of medical certificate.
- Counseling.
- Railway & Roadways pass.
